Garfan has an emotional as well as an intellectual aspect. Dale says, "Garfan is guitar music for the underdog, the working class."

Henry "Jake" Jacobs, bass guitar

Born in northern California, Jake spent most of his time growing up Monterey, and in Portland, Oregon. He's been playing music since grade school, but first picked up his dad’s electric bass at the age of 16. Coming from a musical family, he has a diverse interest in music. His favorite bands include Tower of Power, Audioslave, Dire Straits, and RHCP. He enjoys many genres but has a strong passion for R&B and funk, and as such his biggest influences include James Jamerson, Bootsy Collins, Flea, and Tim Commerford.

Kaitie "K" Preston, lead vocals

The youngest member of Garfan, K first got a taste for singing on stage in her high school's concert and madrigal choirs. A graduate of Raymond Central, K brings the songs to life with a powerful and emotive voice. Her taste in music is eclectic, varying from big band to Pat Benatar, from opera to Breaking Benjamin!

Eric Lee, drums

Eric started playing drums on his own at age 13. He took his entire savings account and bought a small kit. Eric's early musical influences included the Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kansas, Steve Miller, and Yes. He started playing with cover bands around Lincoln, NE, when he was fifteen and played steadily for 20 years, playing in most of the clubs in town, many of which are no longer standing! Eric has played with a few of Dale's cover bands, and was excited to get the call to participate in Garfan. Eric says, "There's a lot of variety in the music, and it appeals to a wide range of people." Eric's current musical tastes include The Clumsy Lovers, R&B and funk, and anything Zydeco or Cajun, especially Wayne Toups.

Greg Davis, rhythm guitar

Greg is an Omaha native although he moved to Lincoln at a young age. He still feels like he’s returning home when in Omaha. Greg started playing guitar at the ripe old age of 10, and music has been his first love ever since. He came directly from the Gary Redden Band of Lincoln as the bassist to be the bassist for Garfan. However, now with a revamped new and improved lineup, he’s back home on guitar.
