Our Stories

Elise, lead vocals

As a product of the 80's, this girl knows how to rock. Singing has always been her passion starting at a young age with music idols such as Pat Benatar, Michael Jackson and Heart. Elise knows how to entertain the crowd with her soul-rending vocals, friendly stage presence and high energy.

Dale "the Unknown", guitarist/vocalist/songwriter

Hailing from South Sioux City Nebraska, Dale plays exclusively Strats and G&L Legacy guitars. When diabetic retinopathy began to rob Dale of his sight, he began work on a project to showcase his original compositions. Garfan is the outlet for Dale’s original music. He uses an aggressive combination of styles creating a distinctive type of guitar rock.

Eric, drums

Eric has been playing drums since he was 13 years old, played in lots of cover bands over the years and has enjoyed and savored every live show ever played! Garfan is the only original band project he has given his time and talents to as the writing and music of Dale Hayes is simply the best around. The current line-up of Garfan is really exciting now and the sound is truly there! Eric is playing Gretsch drums now and has played  exclusively Paiste cymbals since starting The Kit. True fans support Original, Live Music forever!!

Thai, guitar and vocals
Blessed to have been exposed to numerous types of music at a young age, Thai translates this eclecticism to his guitar playing. A true disciple of Paul McCartney and Trent Reznor, his guitar playing is aimed towards serving the song and creating layers and nuances as opposed to merely histrionics. He cut his teeth on the instrument with chameleons such as Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, and Robbie McIntosh. The guitar translates the passion that comes from the song. Thai's main concern is the delivery of that passion the way it was felt in the heart of the songwriter.

Trish, bass and vocals
Trish is a rhythmist at heart that early on started life in dance for 13 years, made a transition from drums in high school to bass guitar and hasn't looked back since.
Inspired by original music, she prefers to create bass lines to add color and dimension to songs by looping scratch tracks and trying to achieve what best suits the song.
She is the original Garfan member that also played in The Dive Kings but is now back with the Garfan group.
Her inspirations range from Victor Wooten to Paul McCartney to John Entwistle.
